Rangan Nandakumar is a Practice Advisor in the Business Transformation team responsible for supporting and advising select Cisco clients in the US, Canada and Latin America. With an extensive background in consulting and technology solution firms spanning over 20 years, Mr. Nandakumar specializes in operations strategy and end-to-end supply chain management domain.
He has worked with a number of fortune 500 firms, advising them on their supply chain strategies, supply networks, SCM processes, organizations and IT systems. His work has been focused on delivering significant cost reduction, process improvement and enhanced customer focus. His clients have been predominantly in the CPG & discrete electronics manufacturing sectors, spread across a number of Asian countries as well as Australia and Europe.
Prior to working with Cisco, Mr. Nandakumar worked with IBM covering solutions in the areas of business analytics and optimization as well as B2B e-commerce. His deep understanding of analytics across the supply chain and CRM space has enabled innovative uses of IBM technology to solve unique business problems for his clients.
Mr. Nandakumar has hands-on manufacturing experience, having worked in the packaging industry and led multi-plant initiatives in the areas of business process re-engineering and Total Quality Management. He has also led implementation of ISO9002 standards in manufacturing and the extended supply chain. His experiences in manufacturing provide him with a unique perspective of the supply chain and operations which is reflected in the practicality and adaptability of his recommendations to clients.
Mr. Nandakumar has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi University, India and he is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is based in Cincinnati, OH with his wife and two children. When he is not working, he is usually out shooting with his camera or immersed in the digital darkroom processing the images he has captured.
